All are welcome to participate in the National African American Read-In during this program. We will be reading from the book, The Black Rose, by Tananarive Due. This story is based on the research and writing of the late Alex Haley, and tells of the life of Madame C.J. Walker, America's first black female millionaire. Copies of the reading will be provided for all in attendance, with permission of the author. | |
