The Women's Missionary Society and the YPD will work again this year with Samaritanspurse.org on the project Operation Christmas Child. We will be sending shoe boxes filled with Christmas gifts to children in Third World countries. Many of these children have never had a Christmas gift, and they will also be introduced to the love of Jesus Christ. We would like to send 100 shoe boxes from Lincolnville. We will be collecting from now until November to fill the shoe boxes with items such as stuffed toys, slinky, harmonica, recorder, socks, ribbons, flute, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, matchbox cars and trucks, bracelets, rings, purses, books, puzzles, dominoes, crayons, color pencils, scarves, balls, underwear, gloves, calculators. Please DO NOT include used or damaged items; war-related toys such as guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; no liquids or lotions; aerosol cans; snow globes or glass containers. Please begin collecting items now. A location in the Fellowship Hall will be designated to place your items, or you can bring them on Packing Day. (Date/Time to be announced) Children receiving these gifts are aged 1 year to 14 years. Please support this cause. Please see Willa Brigham for information. |
